I am thinking about declaring myself bankrupt as I believe that this is the only way for me to effect an end to my dire financial situation. However I am incredibly worried about losing my home which is jointly owned by my father and me. I believe that there is little or no equity in our property. I would be extremely grateful for any advice on my situation.

Hi Don E and welcome to the forum.

Property can be a grey area in BR, so could you elaborate a bit further?
