Posted - 06 September 2008 : 12:14:34 Hi John We have just had a letter from the solicitors saying that "in light of our behaviour they shall be immediately commencing brankruptcy proceedings" My question is, do we cancel our court date which is next wed and let them do it for us (thus saving £1000) or do we go ahead anyway? My OH would rather get it over and done with and let the other party continue to pay solicitors fees.

Posted - 06 September 2008 : 12:24:07 Hi H
I would go ahead as the letter is probably just a threat to get you to pay....little do they know what's around the corner!
To complete your BR the cost to the solicitors would be around £2K so if you owe them less or not much more than that it's never going to happen.
