hi my name is tracy and i am currently not working and have no income to my name i was getting job seekers allowance but that stopped in july this year and i am behind on all of my payments to my creditors what is the best thing i can do as i am unable to make any payments at all should i declare my self bankrupt is this the best thing to do for my current situation please advice

Hi
there are a number of factors to be considered before anyone could give an informed opinion on your best course of action.

However, if you don't own your own home or have any other valuable assets then it could well be the answer. If you are in rented accommodation you should check the terms of your agreement before declaring bankrupcty.

If none of the above applies to you then you can declare yourself bankrupt at a cost of £495.
