Posted - 09 September 2008 : 18:46:41 Tomorrow's the day, 9.20am. (Got nearly an hours drive to get to court as well so it will be an early start.) Right then the question is this: What happens on th eday, who do we see, what do they ask. Biggest question is, will we be able to go in together. Sorry for the questions but as time draws near you start to think about all sorts of things. Thanks |

Posted - 10 September 2008 : 00:08:14 Woh I've finally found something that's cheaper in the South East! I didn't have to pay to park at the courthouse ;)
My appointment was at 9.30am - I arrived (with Pop as emotional support). Went into a quiet room where the clerk checked my forms. After this was completed (5 or so minutes), he took my money and I swore on the holy book. Was then asked to come back at noon and it should be all sorted.
At noon, the full quota of BRs for the day (7 of us in total) were taken into the same room as before, spoken to as a group/given advice etc and given our BR orders. The OR office is some 10 miles away, so were advised that we'd be telephoned later that day.
I received my call in the evening, the OR introduced himself and said he'd like to have a full interview a week to the day.
That was that really.

Posted - 09 September 2008 : 18:52:30 Hi HM
Good luck for tomorrow, CG is also doing hers then too.
Firstly have a look through my blog i wrote about what we did.
I think you will be able to go in together, as we did.
We saw a clerk, she went through our forms in a quiet room, got us to sign, we swore on the bible and then she took our money.
We then waited for the forms to go to the Judge and then we waited to see if we had to go in to talk to the Judge, we did not.
We were given the form back and took it to the clerk, she said to come back in 20 mins and she would have the cert of BR for us and that we would have to speak to the ORs office.
We went back after 20mins, go given the BR cert and waited another 20mins to speak to our ORs office who just introduced themselves and said that the Examiner would be in touch in a few days to arrange the interview.
That was it.
All over in 1hr 50mins.
Good luck, fingers crossed and all that. :-)
