Posted - 09 September 2008 : 20:50:43 My husband has been logging for a while but i do not understand forum experts logging on saying an expert will be there soon, looking back this happens a lot and people awaiting to get an answer are told to wait for an expert by an expert is worrying if they do not know the answer why log about something that is not worth a log this is a good site and very professional but should not be a site that do not relate to the questions, yes reply to dialouge but do not become an expert by posting, john, julian etc are experts not people purely posting in what i believe is innocent but very frustrating to again be told wait for a proper expert. It seems to me to get stars on the board rather than quality postings by real experts but looking at it if you went on stars you would be very confused who to talk to.

Posted - 09 September 2008 : 21:45:35 Well said indeed!
I am fairly new to this site and also feel that everyone's contribution is invaluable.
I fully agree with the Family statement too - my family have been amazing to me through this difficult period. |

Posted - 09 September 2008 : 21:37:31 Incidentally some of the professional experts have had personal experience of insolvency, but what matters in this industry is that people have had experience in some form of tragedy of "Life Bump".
This really means that they can put things in perspective and focus on what is important.
Family, and a future!

Posted - 09 September 2008 : 21:33:06 Hi there
there are really two types of experts.
Those that have been through the process and can help and support with life expereince and an insight from "afterwards".
The other experts are those that are working within the indurtry and derive a living from insolvency.
Sometimes it is difficult for an industry professional to offer the same sort of info and someone with "client" experience.

Posted - 09 September 2008 : 21:04:27 yes i agree it has helped us both i probably sent it wrong who are the real experts and perhaps categerising would help real experts and people wanting to helpquote: Originally posted by gettingthere
I think everyone who answers your post on here have valid reasons for their post, even if its just to say cant help but experts will be along soon.
What it actually does by them posting is to move your question back up the the top so in actual fact they are helping to keep you post towards the top.
This is a fantastic site with a wealth of info, if you want immediate answers you could always pick up the phone.
This is a stressful time for everyone.

Posted - 09 September 2008 : 21:00:15 I would like to say that we've been logging on for a couple of months now and have found this site excellent and so helpful. Even if the first answer you get is someone just telling you to keep your chin up and wait for an expert I think any answer helps. Part of the success of this site I think is the fact that everyone is so supportive and either has been through or is going through the same things. I'd like to say thank you to everyone...I don't know what we would have done without it. |
