I'm fine thanks Jo

I think i've done all the worrying now and its strangely quiet. I think I've come to accept that now, whatever will be, will be. I may get an IPA or whatever but quite frankly I don't care, anything is better than the way I was living before. Just gotta get tuesday out of the way and get ready to move house, which I am dreading. It's so stressful moving everything, but I've got a few buddies that can help hopefully. The hardest thing has been telling all my pals what's going on...

Hey Jo,

How can they ask you to buy something that has no value?
If they insist on that then you could just stop paying threm.
Very strange to me

Hi all

I put my life policies down, these are only payable on death and have no cashin values. The OR mentioned to me at the time of interview about buying them back, but not heard anything else.

And i put the insurance values in that would be payable on death.

Hope this helps.

No I'm in court next tuesday, but trying not to think about it
I'm thinking like you, if anything needs cleared up i'll do that when I get interviewed. Just put the facts as you see them right now.
Good luck and like you say there are more important things in life, family, health and happiness
Nat Posted - 11 September 2008 : 20:26:02
Thanks for that. I'll do that as well then. Have you had your interview yet? And if so was that ok?
I'm working on the theory that if it's not right then it'll get sorted at interview stage. Trying not to get hung up on all the details, need to remind myself of that when i'm lying awake at 4 in the morning!!! Things always seem so much worse then...

If I remember rightly, (I only done my SOA 2 weeks ago! memory's mashed!) I tried to put my life assurance policy down but as its only worth anything if I'm dead or critically ill or unemployed (I have 2 policies) it wouldn't let me write '0' on the online forms. So all I did was write in pen afterwards 'see section 13' and then explained how my policies had no monetary or cash-in value.

Hi sorry to jump in here but i'm a bit confused on this one. I've been doing my form, going br a week today, feel oddly pleased about it???
I haven't put my life insurance down as it will only pay out if I die? reading the above i'm wondering if i should put it down? Any help on this appreciated.
Thanks
Nat

Therefore there will be no value in it and it will just end and not mature. Make sure you tell the OR that.
One of the experts will be able to advise if the OR will let you continue to pay it.

Thats HM and CG.

HM: It is a life policy with a lump sum payout in 2015 if you dont claim on it (ie die) lol.

Thanks for your replies x

Hi gettingthere,
Do you mean your life policy ends in 2015? If there is no cash in value I would suggest it ends and not matures. If it were to matur eI guess that there would be a surrender value now and I am sure the OR would want it.
BankruptC Posted - 10 September 2008 : 19:51:34
Hi gettingthere,

Basic answers are yes and yes! :-)

I put my teacher pension down and gave all details apart from value cos I have no idea what it is. When I spoke to the person at the OR's office she asked about it, but then said it didn't matter and she didn't need to take details as it's a teacher's pension.

We put life policy down and value of '£0'. The lady at the OR's office did take details of this down.

Hope that helps a bit!

Keep asking those questions! :-)

CG. x
