hi andrew and jo, my oh went bankrupt,on 08/08 we had a joint bank account with barclays, and my oh had a personal loan with them, they allowed me to keep the current account, just taken his name off it, and they also allowed oh to have a debit account, so the only differance to us he cant sign cheques, sorry about last posting pressed the wrong key lol

Hi Andrew

The banks have a way of knowing like the London Gazette and the Insolvency register.

Maybe someone else has more advice on the Barclays bit, good luck with it all you will be ok i promise.

anyone had any dealing with barclays on this matter? how will they know im BR if the OR doesnt tell them?
Needafriend Posted - 15 September 2008 : 13:58:32
Hi Andrew, me again, i know dont i have anything else to do.
Right the OR cana be informed that you would like to keep the account as long as it is only a basic account, the bank on the other hand are the ones that action the closure once they know your BR, give them an anonymous call and ask what there policy is.
Hoep that helps.
