Posted - 15 September 2008 : 14:31:01 Hi Jo, Its me again, I am trying to fill in the I&E on the SOA. Do you know if they take into consideration child benefit and dla. I am trying to get the expenditure right but need to know if i got to start fibbing. so far with listing the whole truth we have about £200 left over each month but if they dont count dla and cb we will be minus!
Thanks muchly Tracy 9th Oct and counting |

Posted - 15 September 2008 : 15:06:48 Hi tracy
Funny enough yes i did, i felt sometimes that i did not know which way to go or what to do but as i often mention that after i found this site back in July i found that i could do the BR wothout the need of anyone else. I got very tearfull just before and just after mainly because it is a lot to take in and my OH whilst he wanted us to go BR as it was our only option he did not once help me and i resented him so much and after i made him realise that we are in this together and how i felt things calmed down a bit. I still have moments but by answering other peoples worries like you i forget about my own. It will all come good in the end, honestly. Just keep posting and we will keep ansewring them to the best of our knowledge, my answers are based only on recent knowledge and even though i am classed as an expert i am still learning so bare with me.

Posted - 15 September 2008 : 14:34:50 Oh and make sure that when you speak to the OR that you again mention that you have CB and DLA and to make sure that they dont include them when calculating any payments due.

Posted - 15 September 2008 : 14:33:47 Hi Tracy
You must include DLA and CB but when the OR does their calcualtions they should not take those monies into account and so that will mean that you will be down by what ever those benefits are to you. Ours totalled £425 per month and so brought us under the treshold for an IPA.
Hope that helps. :-)
