Hi Lly,

You can have a bank account once BR. From what people have been posting on this forum, the Co-Op Cashminder account seems to be the most popular.

You are supposed to go to the local county court where you have lived for the best part of the last 6 months. As far as ads in the paper is concerned, that's entirely at the OR's discretion.

Sorry one more point, I have heard that your details are put in the local paper for one week, if the hearing was heard at a court not in your locality would it be posted in that area or still your own.

Hi Lly and welcome to the forum.

In your case with the property in negative equity, your home is not at risk. Someone (who you can nominate) will have to buy your beneficial interest, but this will ony cost about £211 and you're clear.

Hi

Your home is potentially at risk, but it very much depends on your individual circumstances. If there is equity in the property you can expect your share of that to be claimed by the OR by way of a third party purchasing it. If there is no equity in the property it is possible for a third party to purchase your beneficial interest for a nominal sum.

Let us have some more details on your property so we can let you have better information on your own circumstances.
