Posted - 02 October 2008 : 13:54:28 Hi,
I don't think it matters when you got the student loan, could be last year or 20 years ago. In 2004 they no longer included Student Loans within Bankruptcy.
Wish I had gone bankrupt 4 years ago then i wouldnt have £12,000 to still pay out!!!

Posted - 01 October 2008 : 22:37:18 Hi if the loan was taken from the student loan company it cannot be written off in bankruptcy.
Posted - 01 October 2008 : 19:33:23 Hi Ses As far as i'm aware they don't take your student loan in BR, but not sure if yours is a different type?? One of the experts may be able to help and give you more advice on that.
