Posted - 01 October 2008 : 19:29:10 I currently live in rented accomodation, its getting expensive for me as i dont do much overtime in work now and everything keeps increasing in cost. i live on my own with my cat, im not behind in arrears, i have till december in my tenancy. I would like to move closer to work and possibly somewhere cheaper before i go bankrupt.
1, should i move first before bankruptcy or is it possible to move during this?
2, im not sure if i would be entitled to council housing, or rent off the council. i dont have any family for over 100miles and no one i can move in with.
3, im not sure what to do, should i find somewhere cheaper would that be better or stay where i am until bankruptcy over?
cheers

Posted - 01 October 2008 : 22:36:06 Hi provided you can afford the rent, if you move and when is entirely your choice. The OR would certainly not complain if you were to move to cheaper accommodation as this will increase his chances of proposing an IPA if you have freed up sufficient disposable income in doing so.
