Hi i am adischarged bankrupt and want to open a savings account ie an isa. To make things easier for myself i would like to have the savings account and my current account with the same company but i am struggling to get anyone other than the coop to give me a basic account and unfortunately they wont give me any sort of savings account, i was wondering if you had any suggestions,

Thank you

Hi Srodgers

I agree with GP try the Natwest first reserve account. Most banks now will require some sort of proof that your are now discharged to go for some types of accounts. If you look at my blog i have a bit on how to get that whether its free by printing it off or going through your court and paying £60 for a cert.

Good luck

Although it not an ISA, Natwest have a savings account called 'First reserve'. Don't know if thats any good for you, but there you go.
