Posted - 07 October 2008 : 20:30:10 Hi my father has been made bankrupt and before this occurred he had his house which is in joint names with my mother remortgaged and transferred the newly raised amount to me. The case now is in the hands of the Trustees solicitor and they have asked that I repay the raised amount back, I don’t have this money to repay, I used it to pay off debts what powers do the solicitors have to obtain this money from me? My liabilities combined with my expenses means I am not currently at breakeven point.

Posted - 07 October 2008 : 21:38:42 Hi if you don't have the money there is little the trustee can do where your concerned but this will most definately impact on your father. It depends on how long ago the transfer took place and how much was involved.
