Posted - 07 October 2008 : 23:15:30 What are the repercussions of going bankrupt in the UK and then moving abroad to Malaysia and working there, are you able to work in Malaysia, if say you have already started the job. Also can you get credit cards in that country, or other credit? I know that in the UK a bankrupt person from the US could get credit straight away in the uk.

I would say the best bet would be to find out info. from the Malaysian Consulate / Embassy / Immigration.
I asked very similar questions to you but for a different country when I first started on this Forum and got the same reply! From what I learnt for North America, Bankruptcy in UK does not affect you as such in North America.
As for getting Credit Cards in another country, would you really want to???!!!
