Posted - 09 October 2008 : 15:53:05 I am currently in an IVA which looks like failing in the cmoning months. I have been bankrupt before but make no excuses for getting into this situation again.I became ill with depression over 4 years ago and have had to take a lot of time off work on half pay. My current situation is that I have the IVA but along side that I am still also paying my council tax bill for 06/07 £750 to pay). What will happen to debts like the council tax and say water rates etc if I have to go bankrupt.

As i understand it i beleive that the WR and Council tax debts would get written off.
I think thats how it would work. If im wrong then i will be corrected no doubt. Have you spoken to our helpline as they are really good, the number is free and its 0800 078 9367.
Good luck
