Hi

Sorry a question - hope I can explain what I am trying to ask -here goes

Hubby and I both going BR, Do I put both our income in section 6 (will be 2000 a month now he is working again)If so and I only put half of housekeeping etc in section 7 then it looks as if we have loads of spare money. Total pay out per month is 2066 total income is 1998 how do I show this on the two forms?? I am really confused.

Do I just put my income on my form and say OH contributes 0 and then my half of outgoings, then same for OH.

Is it ok to be a minus figure (this is just general living not taking into account any creditors. I hope my question makes sense I am not great at explaining what I mean. I will try and log in at work and see if anyone has been able to help.

Thanks in advance

Dee

Hi Dee

From what you have just said i would just do it exact dont split them as they get more complicated and the OR will know what is what as its both of you.

Yes in part 6 you would put your wages then OH contribution which would be all then it will total on your OH just do it the other way.

Thats how we did ours.

Hi

Thanks for the advice on the forms - I am not really stupid I have just gone to pieces with it all.

Can I clarify in part 7 I will put the same figure for both of us for gas, housekeeping, travel etc eg £400 shopping £110 gas £250 travel.

In part 6 I put both our wages and the overall total!!!

Sorry, I am just confused becausewhen I rang the insolvency helpline the other week from the CAB the IH line said I had to split it eg, £55 each gas etc

Good Luck Dee with the form filling it can seem quite daunting when asked all these questions, when most of the time we just go through life without really thinking about these things.

It will all come good in the end, just keep posting those questions and we will where we all can advise and be there for you.:-)

LOL

* N.B. * This could really help you and good luck to you both *

I don't know if you are using this already but, if not, please go to this Insolvency Service website link before you complete your forms;

http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/DocumentLibrary/Policy/Excel/Household%20Expenditur.xls

It is the official document that OR's refer to when they assess I&E for bankruptcy.

It shows the sort of figures the OR looks for and includes essential and non-essential items.

Clearly, what with bills going up, you should allow as much as possible for expenditure but keep to the eseential items listed.

Warning: the OR will be duty bound to aim for an Income Payment Order if either of you have surplus income. E.g. you mentioned you were getting around £2000 a month between you. If your expenditure is £1800 or lees per month you may be in danger of an IPO. It is best to make sure it is more than that. Not dificult these days with bills going through the roof.

Morning

Seeing as both you and your OH are going BR just mirror the forms.
So it would be the same I&E and obviously your wages and income on yours with his as the contribution and vice versa.
As for the minus figure that should be ok i would have thought.
Hope i have helped
