Posted - 23 October 2008 : 13:52:37 Hi Graham
Welcome!
I would give the helpline a call that way we can help you with a correct plan of action and also put your mind at rest.
Sometimes to hear a verbal answer is better than just posting, the number is free and please leave a name and number and someone will get back to you.
That number is
0800 078 9367
Best of luck
Take Care

Please visit my blog for info on how I got here and other information to guide you through from my experience called:
"Needafriends Links and added info on Bankruptcy!" available to view at:
Im certainly no expert, however i went BR (myself) yesterday.
You may be able to fnancially disassociate your self through the credit reference agencies (john, one of the experts here suggested i do this), so basically you will each have your own credit file and nothing will be linked.
My hubby has got a car in his name and although i had to declare it (because i use it) it will not affect him as he is not responsible for my debts.
As far as im aware they will only have access to your accounts.
Do you have anything in joint names? if so it will be worth posting here to let the experrts advise you further.
Again, my hubby is keeping his credit cards and they have outstanding credit on them.
Hope this helps a little
Jenny
