Posted - 14 October 2008 : 10:06:40 With bankruptcy how long do the payments last? IS it three years? Do they stay fixed for three years or can they change? How quickly can a bankrupt be set up?

If you are given an IPA then the payments will last a maximum of 3 years. They can change in amounts as your I&E change during the time that you are required to pay.
You have a duty to inform the OR of any changes within 21days of these changes so that the IPA can be adjusted accordingly.
The time on which they are set up is dependent on the OR and basically there workload but in reality they would want to get it set up as soon as they can.
