Posted - 17 October 2008 : 14:28:29 Well I've got back from lunch early so can fill you in before school lol.
I got to Court around 9.45am no one around but then saw a security man wandering around, he told me to take a seat. Within around 10 minutes the Clerk came out and called me in, locking the door behind her so no one could come in. She checked my forms, my heart was racing hoping I'd done right. I told her that I had tippexed a few places, she was fine with this didnt even look at the ammendments I had made. I signed the forms, then swore on the bible for my SOA. Paid my money and waited again for around 10 minutes called upstairs by the usher to wait in another room. The usher was lovely and told me not to worry the judge was very nice (she). I was in with the judge for less then 5 minutes, she said to me that she could see that I had made every effort to sort out my debt and she was more than happy to sign my order as she could see this was my last resort (she was lovely). Went back downstairs and waited another 10 minutes or so for my certificate - so officially 10.35am I was BR. We were out of court by 10.45am, it was sooo quick I thought I would be in there hours. We were in Cafe Nero by 11am tucking into a large cappucino and a large chocolate muffin lol.
Clerk said should hear from the OR within the week. My headache has finally gone!!!
I must say to everyone who is waiting (like everyone said to me) Dont worry Court is the easy part.!!
Thanks sooooo much everyone you have been my rock. thank you xxxx |

Posted - 17 October 2008 : 14:34:25 Hi GT,
Really really glad you've managed to post. Really pleased this part is over for you and it was so quick.
I have spoken with our OR today and arranged a telephone interview for 29th October (I think it was the first date available for him). As we want to go away that week I asked him if he could do Monday 3rd November but he said he had targets to meet and couldn't do it. So, 9 and 10 am for me and hubby on 29th October and I am absolutely terrified. I fluffed on the few questions he asked, ie about value of car - I said it was worth about £2,500 and I'm sure I put on the SOA it was £2,700. I'm at work and all my paperwork is at home.
I feel literally sick today and don't know how I'm going to get through the next week and a half. Don't get me wrong, he was nice enough but I'm really afraid I'll just go to pieces.
Anyway, enough of me, really glad you've got that part out of the way. Within the week is a good timescale but I don't think you will get it out of the way by 24th like you wanted!!
