Hi All,

As you know i have been worried sick about getting something sorted so that i can pay bills. Well the worry is over. I got the Welcome pack from Co-op today with account number and sort code so i have been busy on the internet changing all D/D details of utilities and sky etc. I have cancelled all D/D with Alliance and Leicester and if the new instructions aren't set up by 1st Nov then i will cross that bridge when it comes!

Does anyone know if Giros are classed as cheques or cash cause i will have to pay in at post office cause nearest co-op to me is an 80 mile round trip. Got all benefits paid by giro instead of going into bank account and really want to pay them in new account.

Thanks
Tracy XX

Hi Tracy

Great news about your account - as Jo says, one less thing to worry about

I hadn't thought of cashing giro's first then paying them into account.

Hi Tracy

With regard to your giros all i did was cash them and then pay the cash straight into my coop account.
