Posted - 18 October 2008 : 17:47:23Hi all Not been about lately as we have been trying to get our life back in order. Got bank a/c's sorted and moving house on 1st Nov. Now the question.... Not had any contact from the OR since the interview but got a letter yesterday saying they would prefer it if we did not send the house keys back to the lenders and telling us they propose to hold a meeting of creditors on 20th Nov. Is this normal? and do we have to attend?

Posted - 22 October 2008 : 10:23:13Thanks for the answer suzanne. Do you think they will be appointing a trustee? We went BR on 10th Sept and had OR interview in person on 15th Sept. They didnt mention appointing a trustee at the interview!

You do not have to attend. I think they are holding a meeting of creditors as they need to appoint a Trustee to deal with the property, which is why they don't want you to send the keys back. There are probably a couple of IP's wanting the appointment and so they are having to call the meeting.
