Posted - 20 October 2008 : 12:22:09 I currently have a cash account with Ltsb so I have no overdraft or debts with this bank. Will that mean I can keep this bank account for my dd's etc. Cause my energy bills will be even higher if I don't pay by dd & i'm a single mum :-( |

Posted - 20 October 2008 : 13:01:05 Lloyds let me keep my current account with them when I went BR, and I seem to remember reading that someone (I can't remember who) has been able to open a basic account with them when they were BR.

Posted - 20 October 2008 : 12:30:41 Hi fabh,
It might be worth a phone call to lloyds to see if they will let it remain open. I assume they are not one of your creditors and if there is no overdraft facility they may just keep it open. Its worth a try. Failing that as Maizie says the co-op cashminder account is really good. i have just opened one myself and got all D/D and standing orders sorted.
Take care Tracy XX

Posted - 20 October 2008 : 12:23:36 I don't seriously think Lloyds will allow you to keep your account as they aren't very "bankrupt friendly". I opened a cashminder account with the co-op and they allow direct debits.
