Posted - 26 October 2008 : 22:48:02 I wonder if anyone can help. I want to go Bankrupt but I have a car its only work £800 but I cannot live without as I need it for work do you think they will take it when I go bankrupt

As BC has said as long as you can show that you need th car for work or for the childrens school run etc then the OR should allow you to keep the car.
Whlist they have guidelines of below £2500 i think it is you still must be able to show that it is required as the OR if they feel you dont actually need it at any value they will take it.
In general most people get to keep the cars at low value but i had to just explain that you must infact show that the vehicle is a neccesity in your every day life in order to be able to have it made exempt.
