Posted - 30 October 2008 : 18:41:10 Hi all just need a little help. I was declared bankrupt in September and have my OR interview on monday. I have to fill out a PIQB form. A couple of weeks ago I opened a coop cashminder account an got my job seekers allowence paid in it had been backdated from august so I got around £500. My question is should I have told the OR I didnt think I had to. The forms I have to fill in on monday are asking about all my bank accounts and how much money is in them. Do I need to put my new account on? If I do will they freeze the account and take all the money out as I need this money for day to day living?
Thanks for any help

I would have expected all of your bank accounts to have been frozen already if you were made bankrupt in September. If you opened the Co-op account after BR I would still list it on the forms, just take the cash out before you submit the forms and declare the balance as zero.

Posted - 30 October 2008 : 18:46:52 Hi, As far as I'm aware you do get to keep some money as living expenses, just not sure how much. I personally, would have told the OR. Someone will be along soon who does know and they'll be able to help.
