Posted - 30 October 2008 : 20:09:57 I have just browsed the insolvency website at the BRU/BRO and I am 99% convinced I will be served with one. I understand the give restrictions for a further but can you tell me:
1. Do you still get discharged after 12 months? 2. Does the BRU strart from discharge date or bankruptcy date? 3. Does it come off you credit file 6 years from after the BRU finishes or 6 years from bankruptcy date?
I never want credit again but would like a mortgage again in 5 years time.

1. Yes you are still discharged after 12 months. 2. From the bakruptcy date which is why the minimum term is 2 years (the standard 12 months plus a further 12 months). 3. I'm reasonably sure a BRU is not entered on your credit file.
