Sorry 2 quick questions...

1. Do I the wife as someone who "has interest" in our old property or is this just people we owe money to?

2. should I open a cashminder acct now to make sure it is ready in time for my dd's to come out as I belive it can take a few days for this to happen and I have some dd's to come out straight after we go BR. Or shall I leave it untill after and just deal with the late DD's as they come up?

I just can't help myself can I !!!!

Hi Turborat

I opened my Co-op cashminder account a few months back on the advice of a debtor councillor at CAB. As we were in overdraft with our Halifax account she said to get our money out of there. I called the Co-op and told them I was planning to go bankrupt and it went through fine. We now have all our money paid into it as well as our DD's.

All the best,

Amanda

Hi Turborat

I do aim to please you know. Let us know how you get on with the Coop account.

I think you recently moved so they may not be able to find you on the electoral role which may cause an issue but mention this at the time of the call and if need be see if there is a way round it.

You take care

Jo

What can I say, thanks again Jo.

Think I will open one up tomorrow lunchtime over the phone and mention we will be going BR.

Hi Turborat

Right

1/ A person who has interest is a joint owner if a mortgaged property.

On a rental its other tenants above the age of 18 and the landlord.

2/ The coop do seem ok with accounts being opened pre BR as long as they are warned about the pending BR they are ok to keep the account open so that throughout the period of filing the petition etc everything such as dd’s runs smoothly.

Hope that helps
