Hi Forum,

Going BR shortly, i am self employed & i have now closed the business down. However the only avaliable option i have had to live & pay the bankruptcy charge of £495 is to draw cash on a credit card.
Will this put me in bad stead with the OR. I have left the OR nearly £10,000 in cheques rather than bank it that would have just got swallowed up in OD with bank. Any suggestions?
Paul

Hi

technically using credit to pay the fees could be frowned upon.

Having said that you have drawn cash so the only person that knows that particular cash has been used for this purpose is you.
The fee cash could have come from anywhere.

Putting the cheques aside will, I'm sure, be in your favour.
