Posted - 26 November 2008 : 14:42:21 Hi,
I would like to be informed on the procedures to declare bankrucy.
I am French and live in France but have an account with an English Bank.
I have lost my job 2 months ago and cannot credit this account (in overdraft for £400). Moreover, my credit card is also showing a debit of £950.
Please let me know I could declare bankructpy as I am now in a terrible situation.
Thank you in advance

the other folk are correct in that you shouldn't go Br for £1350.
Additionally as you live in an EU country you cannot petition for Br in the UK. Insolvenmcy proceedings would need to be done in France.

Posted - 26 November 2008 : 20:31:41 Me too, seems a shame to declare for such a small amount.
Is there nothing else you can consider like a DMP or an IVA.
I do hope that you get it sorted out.
Best of luck

I second what John has said. You are much better off trying a DMP.
Good Luck

if your debts in the UK amount to £1350 I would not recommend bankruptcy as a solution. try a DMP.
