Posted - 26 November 2008 : 22:06:42 Hi. I have read up to question 50 on the forums but still cannot find an answer to my question, sorry. I left a very well paid job over three years ago, and ever since, have been robbing Peter to pay Paul, selling assets such as cars etc until up to about twelve months ago, when I realised I had nothing left to sell. I arranged a dmp with the consumer credit service, but two creditors in particulat, the halifax and the tsb seem determined to drag me down, phoning every day, continuing to add interest to my 30k debt etc..My question is, if I go BR will the official receiver look at my sale of assets over the last three years and think I have "planned" it? Or will he only be interested in the last 12 months or so? I''m very worried because at one time, long ago, I had a decent lifestyle. Now after a poor job situation/move and a seperation, I have nothing. Thanks for listening. Tracey |

Posted - 26 November 2008 : 22:44:07 Hi Tracey and a warm welcome from me too!
I agree with TD that you have nothing to be ashamed off, we all have done the rob peter to paul and our final solution for us was the BR.
On here we dont judge you for how you got into debt, we praise you for having the courage to confront them and want to deal with them once and for all, and holding up your hands and saying that yoyu cant do it anymore is step 1.
Step 2 is coming here and finding new friends and feeling a lot less alone.
We are here for you, so do keep posting. Take care :-)

Posted - 26 November 2008 : 22:38:30 Tracey, Welcome! You havent done anything wrong. You've sold things to stay afloat rather than take more credit; you enetered a DMP to try and solve this, now its time to hold your hands up and say "I cant do this anymore" ORs are human and see this scenario all the time. Just look around you at what is happening to these huge companies; do you think they planned it? Of course not! Sometimes our lives take twists and turns and things often go wrong, its just part of the journey. Please dont worry Tracey, stick around and you will have amazing support and bags of help. My life has changed for the better.
