Posted - 28 November 2008 : 08:26:16 i moved into my new property a few weeks ago (Renting) but a friend of mine that was going to rent a room has dropped out. now if i cant find a lodger im not going to be able to afford the house. im declaring bankruptcy for new year and how will this look with the OR, renting a new house and not being able to afford it ?! will he do me for anything, fraud or something ?

That is unfortunate, i dont think the OR will do you for fraud, its a genuine mistake that any of us can make and in the current climate its harder to get tennets and also people willing to share.
What are you hoping to do. Can you rent to a student or how about putting an ad in the local paper.
Other than that, i dont know what else you can do.
I just feel so sorry for you.
