Posted - 29 November 2008 : 17:37:40 hi all when filling out forms for br what are considered as assets and do you list everything in your home clothes etc and what about my childrens things like game consoles and their personal items will they be affected any help appreciated |

Posted - 30 November 2008 : 13:49:57 The only things I declared as assets were my car and my laptop. My car was exempt, and my laptop wasn't even mentioned. I presume that's because it was low value as it wasn't working properly!

hi jo thanks for that was worried about that not lucky enough to have plasma tv or antiques so should be ok then many thanks

Assets are really any houses, cars, antiques that sort of thing over a value of about £500 ish.
No you dont have to list household items unless they are of a significant value like a v large plasma tv worth about 2k.
