Posted - 04 December 2008 : 14:09:14 Hi all, have been offline a while as moved into rented house 3 weeks ago and broadband still not up and running and likely to take another 2 weeks.
As the title says I a now officially bankrupt as of 10.45 on 1/12. Went to court and arrived at 9.30, waited for desk to open at 10 finally opened at 10.30, checked papaerwork sent me round to the another side was called straight away. Sat down judge flicked through papers asked if I was working, said I was currently on ML she asked if I was returning what I did and my salary. Did I seek advice, to which I said yes and she said in that case I will grant the order. That was it. Left wet back to cashier desk waited for paperwork then call from OR. They asked a few questions then said they would write to me in about two weeks to say if i needed an interview if I did if a phone interview or face to face and then he said if I need one at all. Assuming he didnt have my paperwork as if they saw the amount of debt I am 100% sure I need an interview.
So that was it. I am now worrying myself silly over the OR interview.
Oh I also called a couple of creditors and barclaycard said they will continue with action until they hear from OR. |

Well done on being officially BR now, you can now start the rest of your new life ;-)
I know its easy for me to say, but try not to worry about the interview.
It will all come good in the end.

Posted - 04 December 2008 : 18:15:58 Hey Help
You are bound to be worried about the interview with the or, however i believe this is fear of the unknown as nothing will prepare you, but can say once its over you will start to feel like a different person.
If you continue to get calls letters it may be worth quoting what julian has explained to them and they wll not bother you again. I felt guilty the only time i had to say it, but no amount of pushing for their money is going to change the situation
Good luck
Jenny

Posted - 04 December 2008 : 14:17:28 Hi Help007,
Barclaycard, now they have been informed, are not legally allowed to contact you. As long as you've provided them with your BR reference, they should leave you alone. Continued contact would be deemed as harrassment which is a criminal offence under Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act.
