I know its easy for me to say but i would not worry about the court or the forms as they are not as bad as you may think, although i have been where you are now
When looking at and also filling in the forms, do the easy bits first, then start on the sections 1 by 1, asking us on here when there is something that your not sure of.
We have all been there and done that so can help you out in that respect, but do remember that your not a criminal, that you are taking control of your debts and you know that for you and yours this is the only option left to you.
I am here for you, no matter what, as is all of our members, so whenever you need us, give us a shout, but not too loud, the weekend is coming and some may have hangovers, LOL

Posted - 04 December 2008 : 21:03:37 Hi Jo,
What I will say is don't worry about the court day. We had ours last month and was the same as you worrying about everything but once we left court we really did wonder why we was worrying!
Everyone on the day was so helpfull which made it a lot better.
As long as you take your time with your forms and double & triple check them everything on the day will be fine.
Good luck!! |

Posted - 04 December 2008 : 20:33:28 If you dont have all the dates you opened an account or took a loan out or even when you got your credit card then dont worry, put an estimate and mention it on section 13 of the forms...I however did not do it that way, i was brave and phoned all my creditors and asked for exact dates, and it didnt take too long either.
You will need to put 'possible shortfall' down in BOTH secured and unsecured sections.

Posted - 04 December 2008 : 18:06:36 Hey Jo
Im so glad you have now got a date to work towards.
As Julian said, work your way through one bit at a time, you can save as you go along, which is a life saver ....and ask any qustions as and when you come across them. I did start with the sections that were easy and left the hard ones till last and when i had alot of spare time and it was quiet
Good luck when starting them.

Posted - 04 December 2008 : 15:50:28 Hi Jo,
How long is a piece of string? Is there anything in particular you'd like clarification on?
The best advice is to take your time. It is at first glance a very daunting document, but if you take it one question at a time, you'll be fine!
