Today my darling O/H plucked up the courage to speak to his boss regarding his impending bankruptcy. He has been really worried as he is a trainer/assessor and has only been in the role with this company for 2 months.

And his boss said 'If there is anything we can do to support you through this please just come and see me'. She has also told the finance manager that his expenses claims have to be paid immediately they are submitted and it will now be on a weekly rather than monthly basis. And, if he has to go away overnight, which happens occasionally, the company will now book and pay for his hotel and evening meal beforehand as they know he can't have a credit card.

And finally, she sees no reason why it should affect what he was employed for, which is to build up and run a team of assessors.

So, there's another weight off our shoulders. And what a wonderfully understanding company he works for.

I believe he is allowed a company credit (or an additional cardholder on a personal card), as the debt wouldn't be his. But the way his boss has set in motion will probably be more beneficial anyway.

Excellent news though, a huge weight off your shoulders!
