Both myself and my husband are considering declaring bankruptcy and are joint on out mortgages. We have 4 children, the youngest being just 3 weeks old. Do you know if we would have to move out of the property immediatley, as we are really worried as we would have nowhere to go.

thanks.

The court or the Offial Receiver's office would not force you out immediately and you might be able to keep the property, if you so wished to.

Hi & Welcome

What equity is there in your property and also do you have any arrears or other secured loan on it.

Are you able to continue to pay the mortgage, what i mean is can you afford it if you did not have the other debts.

What other assets do you have?

Sorry for all the questions just trying to build a better picture.
