Posted - 30 December 2008 : 15:18:39 Hi all!
I'm currently receiving no income at all. I'm a full time student at a college but they are unable to help me financially. I have applied for Disability Living Allowance and also Income Support but this is likely to take a few months to come through (if successful) I owe creditors roughly £1000. I am getting calls from debt collection agencies who are insensitive to the position that I am currently in.
What should I do?!
Thanks, Mark.

Posted - 30 December 2008 : 15:50:57 Hi Mark & Welcome
Firstly bankruptcy is not reallly an option for you with such a small amount of debt that you owe.
Have you written to your creditors to offer a token payment of say a £1 until you get sorted out.
That may help, buy you some time, show willing and all that.
