Posted - 05 January 2009 : 10:09:35 It's down to the discretion of the bank whether you can keep the account open. At the time I went BR Lloyds allowed me to keep my account, even though their policy at the time was to close accounts.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Posted - 05 January 2009 : 08:35:07 Hi Mitsu
If you can i would open a Coop Account before you go BR, that way your account with them should remain open and you can organise all dd's and wages etc in that new one, then once you have taken what you need from the A&L just leave that account.
Take care

Posted - 05 January 2009 : 00:12:20 Hi
the account will be frozen so the funds should be removed well in advance of bankruptcy.
You will have to account for those founds to the OR so only spend it on that which is essential.
