Posted - 06 January 2009 : 11:42:26 I have a concern I need some advice on I was discharged from bankruptcy in 2005 now find myself 4 years later back in the same situation.
I wanted to do a Iva with my wife’s debts combined as I have to pay everything as am only one working with two children and because we only have £230 a month left been told its not enough for a Iva on £46000 unsecured debts.
But if I file bankruptcy again am concerned they my want to fine me or even worse prison saying should not f spent out of things like new TV 8 months ago when I had no way of paying for it which I bought thru my catalogue.
Can any one advise me as am so worried been doing a DMP but its not working out
Any help be great full

Just to put your mind at rest ... prison is not an option! However, it is likely you'll get a BRO (Bankruptcy Restriction Order) which means although you'll still get discharged at 12 months, you'll be held under the restrictions of bankruptcy for anything up to 15 years.
