Hi

in bankruptcy you are required to give full detils of all your debts. Name of the lender, address of the lender, account number, how much owed to each lender, when the debt was taken on and what the money was spent on.

If you can I would hang in there for a few months as, in April, the government hope to bring Debt Relief Orders into being. It will be akin to bankruptcy but not so involved.

To qualify your debts must be a max of £15K
you must have no assets
you must have a monthly disposable income of no more than £50.

Basically it will cost around £100 to apply, then you wait 12 months. If your circumstances remain unchanged in respect of income and expenditure then your debts will be written off as they are in bankruptcy.
