Posted - 07 January 2009 : 12:15:23 Hi everyone.
I have been reading a few posts on here about contract mobile phones. Around August I got a £10 a month contract phone (12 months) with Virgin which included a new phone. My old phone packed up and I need my mobile for when I am out so that my disabled husband (who is at home a lot) can contact me. My husband also has a £10 a month Virgin account but not a contract. It's the sim card only special they do and his old phone.
So my question is, will the OR let us keep our mobiles? We have our telephone interview on the 21st.
Many thanks.
Amanda

As it is only £20 a month for both phones we should be able to afford it out of our disposable income. We don't have a real reason for keeping them (ie work) but would like to keep them anyway.
Thanks for the reply.

Posted - 07 January 2009 : 12:43:52 Hi Amanda,
As long as you give the OR a good reason for keeping them, you should be fine. I kept my contract phone in my BR. In any case, an IPA/IPO will only take a maximum of 70% of disposable income, so there will be more than enough left over for you to continue with this contract if you so choose.
