worried
Posted - 10 January 2009 : 10:50:21 Hi - i metnioned this in my previous post, but i am abit worried about my previous company car. I went BR in aug 08. When i worked i had a bmw company car which they made me the registered keeper of. the company took the car back from me in Nov 2007 and i stopped work for them in march 08. Then went BR in aug 08.
Therefore i did not put it down as an asset on my forms (also it was never mine anyway although in my name).
However i am still in touch with my employers and know that they have only just got round to changing the registered keeper in Nov 08.
I can imagine how dodgy this must look so will i get a bro?
my ex-employers are happy to confirm that they delayed in returning the change of registered keeper.
So, i have not even mentioned the car to the OR but i read on here they check with dvla so it is going to look dodgy i din't mention it.
Should i tell hime about this (interview next week) or wait until he asks?

Posted - 10 January 2009 : 11:41:05 Hi
this all a perfectly acceptable situation. If they so wished the OR's office could historically check through your bank records and with the vehicle supplier to see who funded, or who didn't fund, the purchase.
You have nothing to worry about. Being a registered keeper has no bearing on ownership and your simple explanation should suffice. If not it can be checked as set out above.
