Hi Jo

Thanks for the welcome.

i've read alot of your posts and you're certainly doing a great job and are an inspiration to to alot of people on here.

Personally, i'm going bancrupt owing £75k plus , in a couple of weeks time. I've done most of my research and i'm pretty much ready (as much as you can be in these situations)

Only thing slightly worrying me is that i sold my half share of an asset (£25K) just over 2 years ago to pay off debts to a family member and the fact that the rest of my debts were caused due to speculation on the stock market. I've not increased my debt for over 2 years and have spent all that time in a debt management scheme.

I have no choice now other than to go bancrupt and since i no longer have a beneficial interest in a property anymore, there's nothing much stopping me now.

Since i sold my asset (at full value) over 2 years ago,i know they cant reverse the transaction, but i'm trying to anticipate whether my actions over the last 15 years warrants a BRO. Hope not, but impossible to get a conclusive answer until you've actually gone bancrupt and of course by then it's too late.

Any advice then please let me know

Jonny

Hi Jonny and welcome to the forum.

As long as any asset disposal was done at market value, the OR does not have the power to unwind this. In addition, given the fact it was over 2 years ago, this disposal was done without the knowledge you were going BR. I would sugegst you'll be absolutely fine and I sincerely doubt this would warrant a BRU/BRO.
