IF YOU DECLARE BANKRUPT WHAT DETAILS DO I NEED TO PRODUCE ??? ALSO WOULD I HAVE TO APPEAR IN COURT OR COULD I USE A DEBT COMPANY TO ACT FOR ME??

Hi Vicky

the forms for the court are around 32 pages long and can either be downloaded from the insolvency.gov website or you can fill them in online.

Eitherway I would suggest you print off a draft copy to fill in and make the mistakes on first. Some courts want 3 sets so it is best to check.

The official receiver will also want details of your debts afterwards so will ask for bank, loan & credit card statements etc.

If you live in the UK then you will need to attend court in person, however you may elect to have a representative with you that can do all the preparation, court documents and be there on the day and deal with the Official Receivers office.

Check out the forms first because you mey decide you want to do them yourself.
