Hi all

Im in the process of writing to hubby's creditors asking for some 'breathing space' with regards to his monthly payments. Its only a short term thing until (hopefully) work picks up.

Today they have replied with this:-

We appreciate that you're experiencing financial difficulties and look forward to being able to discuss a level of repayment that would be acceptable to us (doesnt hold out much hope here)..... Then it goes on the say it will be on his credit file for 6 years blah blah blah.... Should you wish to discuss a reduced payment programme, please call our debt management team with the following details, monthly income, monthly expenses and names of all creditors and balances owed with each......why do they need to know the last one, or am i being thick ??

Hubby owes £9.5k mbna loan, barclays £8.5k loan, mbna cc £6k and argos £1k

Is there anyone that can advise what i can say to them when we call back later ??

Jenny

xx

Onwards and Upwards is the way im going :-0)

From "Moneyworries" to "Movin On" in 3 months is fantastic :-))

xx

Jen

Just let them know that you are experiensing financial difficulties and in light of that wish to make an offer of repayment for the next 6 months.

I would then write to them each to that affect and include a copy of an income and expenditure form showing a payment to them.

Send all details recorded so you have proof. Copy all letters and keep in a file for your own proof too.

If you want me to help with the letter or the pro rata payments you know where i am as i did that all myself when i did my DMP.

This is a link to where i found some info to help me, i hope it helps you too:

And also there income/expenditure sheet is here:

Hi Jen

When idid my own DMP i had to write an I&E form that i found on the CAB website and then i sent that with a standard letter to them offering pro-rata payments.

MBNA for me agreed my reduced amounts every 12 months they were very good.

Hope that helps
