Posted - 23 January 2009 : 15:15:26 I am a British Citizen who is now living in Canada. I have debts over 14000 sterling which were taken out in the UK which I cannot repay because I cannot work and therefore wish to declare bankruptcy. I cannot return to the UK to do this so can I appoint a representative within the UK to do it for me and if so how do I do this? Thanks.

You will need to appoint a firm who can do the BR for you under a Power of Attorney. Paul Johns at Reviva does excellent work in this area and you can contact him through the links in the experts page.
