Posted - 31 January 2009 : 10:31:14 This yearI have no choice but to file for my BR. I have been told about teaching overseas (in order to start again) and wanted to know if after going BR, how long I had to stay in the country before moving away? |

If it helps to know that there others planning to move away from the UK after bankruptcy...
My wife and I are petitioning for bankruptcy on Friday 20th March and moving to Ireland on Monday 23rd March. Our BR forms will obviously have out current UK address and details, but we will send an additional document to the OR providing our Irish address and contact numbers, along with details of our expected income and expenditure in Ireland.

Posted - 31 January 2009 : 10:34:08 No, you don't have to stay in the UK, although you will have to notify the OR of your address. If you have no IPA you will have to keep them informed until discharge, but if you have an IPA you'll need to do it until the last payment.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
