Its just a case of waiting then - at least i know they got the cheque ok and things are in motion.
Michelle - Im sure if you both go br one of you can buy the bi back, but not sure how it works that way.

Posted - 03 February 2009 : 19:36:33 Just out of curiosity, how comes ours was so quick then? It was almost done by return of post once the cheque was sent off. Really just a case of sending the deed of assignment back and them sending it back to us all signed. No mention of completing or anything like it. Oh and we used their solicitors. |

Posted - 03 February 2009 : 18:06:47 Hi,
Sorry to sound dum but what is the RTLU UNIT?
We have just sent house valuations and mortgage requests off to the OR does this mean the next step is to offer sale of BI? The letter did state that if in negative equity we could arrange to buy BI however there was no mention of selling this to a third party, is it possible to sell it back to us, both myself and husband went BR in Nov?
Thanks Michelle |

Well i have had a letter from them stating this, so i checked on IR and i have definitely been passed on.
However i should add that there was a cross over and hubby's cheque got sent to the or not the rtlu.

Posted - 03 February 2009 : 13:26:23 Hi Jenny
Is your case definitely with the RTLU yet? As mine was all dealt with by my OR's office. Took 4 days after I sent cheque off for deed of assignment to come back and be signed and witnessed. Then 3 days after I sent that back I got it returned having been signed and witnessed by the OR. Job done.
I know all cases and areas are different but I was really impressed with the speed and efficientcy in which my BI was sorted out.
Hope that helps you a bit :-) |

Posted - 03 February 2009 : 10:26:27 Hey EOT
I have just sent mine back also and cannot wait for it to be sorted, as its the only asset for the or to deal with.
Paul, how long after sending the cheque back (which has been cashed) do we hear anything from the RTLU unit?

Posted - 02 February 2009 : 23:57:51 Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply, so only one letter is sent back ?, I don't know if i have identified to the OR that my wife wants to buy the BI, unless it is somewhere on the soa forms, by sending my wifes letter back, he should realise that,

Posted - 02 February 2009 : 23:48:09 You have probably already identified to the OR that your wife wants to putchase the BI.
It doesn't matter which letter gets sent back provided that the OR clearly inderstands that your wife will buy your BI.
