Posted - 03 February 2009 : 15:09:27 hi, here go's, i am in a mess and am pretty sure bankruptcy is my best option any advice would be appreciated i am sick with worry. My story is my wife left me last oct and is now living in our family home with her new partner and our 2 beautiful daughters. Last dec i signed over deeds to her and him and i am living in rented (there is no equity in the home) i have done several silly/stupid things since last oct, i have basically no assets and have run up gambling debts of 35k, 25k on four credit cards and 10k on a bank loan obtained last oct. i have a gambling issue for many years but now finally want to stop and am attending GA. My main concerns are 1) all my credit cards were taken out at the time we split and i used our family home as address i have not informed them of change of address, i also stated my earnings as 40k self employed when they are more like 10k the bank loan i did put my rented address as corrrect but did inflate my earnings. I am really worried as most of the debt has happened in the last few weeks at online sports betting and cash withdrawls 20k on credit cards.
I am now about to sign unemployed for the first time everas i have no way of running my self employed catering business anymore. HELP !! what am i looking at in terms of bro etc in bankruptcy or is it more serious ie fraud my life is a complete mess please can someone give me some advice.
