Hi All,

As we are close to completing our BR forms the days are counting down for BR.

We have to go back to Staffordshire (Hanley) to go BR - has anyone had any dealing with the OR in this area.

Knowing our luck at present they will be the most officious, by the book, petty, vicious OR in the whole country

I look on with envy at those of you who have had heavenly OR's...

Cheers

Tim

Hi Melanie,

I fully understand your feedback - however you can see for yourself that certain branches can be refered to as "brutal".

I'm not casting aspertions at anyone - and I to often have off days.

I was just asking if anyone had been down the BR route in Hanley and if so what was their experience of the OR?

A fair enough question considering... nes pas?

On a tangent - we will go BR in Hanley - however we now live in North Wales (closest OR office is Chester) will our OR be Chester or Hanley - if its the former (you guessed it...) has anyone had experience of the OR in Chester...

From someone who worked in the OR's office for 23 years i have to stand up in their defense and say that all offices are professional and there to help. However, in reality the staff are human and we all have off days!! The majority of people are more than happy with the way in which they have been dealt with and post such comments accordingly - If you are unsatisfied with a response to a query or in anyway in which you have been dealt with - say so...sometimes due to pressure of work staff do go into automaton...just try to remember that you may be the first or the fifth person they have 'interviewed' that day and things can get to us all - a small concern voiced..'I'm sorry i don't understand what you mean /say, can you explain fully/ further or 'hang on, can you tone down the manner in which you are speaking to me' often works the trick...it is so easy so fall into routine when you are doing something day in day out..just point this out to them if you feel they are not being helpful, it works... From a purely OR's perspective - the majority of clients they deal with are only to happy to be helped in sorting out their info - usually very nervous at the start but soon realise they are not being judged or criticised at all and soon relax into the conversation - that is all it is a coversation to enable them to get to the bottom of your particular situation..But on the other hand a very small number of clients can be rude, difficult and extremely unhelpful - the person you will be speaking to may have just dealt with someone like this and it can affect the rest of your day if you are not careful - so if you feel you are not being dealt with properly just point it out, they won't mind at all, they probably did not even realise they may have appeared 'short' try to remember they are human!

Hi Daisy,

You may beat us there - I'll post my experience of the OR there and I'll keep an eye out for your too.

Good luck for the forth coming event - I've heard from pretty much everyone that the actual day is a total anti climax - its the bits after with the OR that I'm anxious about...

Cheers

I have not heard bad reports about that area. I did hear that they are brutal in Maidstone, Kent, though.

They're quite nice in Leeds ;)
