hi
I have a few questions i need some advice on and I was hoping i could get some advice, i'll give you some background into my situation,I am currently around 30k in debt on around 4 credit cards and a unsecured loan, I have no assets and live in rented accomodation, around half of these debts is money i have lent to friends and family, around 7k on dental work as i smashed up my mouth (accident) and some lviing expenses when i didnt realise i was going over my income (over the past year or so)
I have have decided bankruptcy is the best way to go as i'm leaving my job in march due to stress causing me ill health and i want a fresh start, now my job currently is a good income, i leave this job in march which i get paid until the end of march. and i'm planning on starting a new job overseas, which is for a british employer, it's a small income of £430 per month and it's a fixed term contract until the end of october with the possibility of being extended, my questions are
1. As i'm due to change jobs how do i go about detailing both on the forms on the website as obviously my income changes alot
2. again with my outgoings they are higher at the moment but without my debt repayments i would have spare cash for one month which i would need to see me into my new job.
3. what are the chances of being given a BRO in my situation?
4. I am planning to start the new job on the 30th march which is based overseas i still pay tax and ni (very little) in the uk and have a uk address would i be able to get it all tied up if i did the bankruptcy around the first week in march?
5. Would i be able to clam for storage of my furniture (bed etc) as an outgoing once i'm overseas.
6. as my income will be so low i'm concerned about being given a payments order thing afterwards, as i wont have any accomodation costs, but due to not knowing where i will be working my living expenses could vary due to exchange rates abroad etc. I am aware this is a lot of questions but i would be very gratefull for your help as i'm going through thinking things over too much in my head
Thanks

Hi, thanks for this,
Has put my mind at rest, so they will take my new circumstances into acount when I see the OR as I was thinking of taking 2 sets of forms? I just am concerned that it may seem that I have more disposable than I have at time of bankruptcy, should I put in the last section that my circumstances are changing (under the reasons for bankruptcy?) thanks again

Hi Stuart
I will try to address your concerns point by point (but they will reflect on as and when you actually file for bankruptcy)
1 Your bankruptcy petition/forms should provide a 'snap shot' of your position as at the day you file your petition. Therefore complete the jobs info as per your current job.
When you have your appointment with the OR you can explain the imminent changes on the jobfront
2 see above
3 from the info you have provided i would say that a BRO would not be placed on you, but that info is dependant on whether or not i have the whole picture.
4 you are usually interviewed by the OR within a week or two of the order being, you can actually explain your situation to the staff in the OR's office when booking your appointment as to the need for the appt to be sooner rather than later.
5 I see no difficulty in that providing it is a realistic storage figure
6 an IPO depends on your income v expenditure and whether you have any disposible income after your expenditure over £100 if so you may be required to pay 50% or so in an IPO for 36 months
Hope this helps
